IMPHAL, May 18: A Manipuri poetry book titled “Wathok” written by Mei Bhagat was released today at a function held at the Manipur House (Rajbari), Shillong, Meghalaya, said a press release from the Manipuri Sahitya Parishad, Meghalaya.
The book is published by MSPM (Manipuri Sahitya Parishad, Meghalaya), it said.
The book was released by Rajamani Nongthomba, president of MSPM and contains seventy three poems and is Mei Bhagat’s second book.
Nongthomba praised Mei Bhagatyoung as a young writer and encouraged others as well, especially those outside Manipur, who are writing in Manipuri language, it said.
