TNL clarifies on Gurgaon sex racket case

UKHRUL, May 22: Amid the uproar over the alleged implication of certain villages of Ukhrul district in the recent Gurgaon sex racket case, the Tangkhul Naga Long (TNL) has on Thursday clarified that the four female accused who identified themselves as citizens of the district, do not belong to any particular village of the district as per the FIR report.

A press statement to this effect issued by TNL, signed by its general secretary K Dickson has today said that in the recent Gurgaon sex racket case, on April 22, 2014, five women were booked under section 154 CrPc, Immoral Activities (prevention) Act 1956 as per the First Information Report (FIR) No. 217 lodged at the Gurgaon Police station.

It, however, turned out that four out of the five female accused who identified themselves as residents of Ukhrul district are not from any particular village of the district, the statement added.
