Thoubal, June 2: The Democratic Students Alliance of Manipur (DESAM), Salungpham and SYC Club, Salungpham have jointly organised World Environment Day at the Ching Tam High School in Salungpham, Thoubal today.
A rally under the theme ‘ Let’s cooperate in preserving nature’ participated by hundreds of students in and around Salungpham was also organized. The rally was flagged off by DI(S) Zone III, Thoubal, Tekcham Bikomdash at 10 am.
Students held placards which read ‘’ Let’s plant two trees if we fell one”, “ We students must have the habit of planting trees” and ‘’We must protect our environment” during the rally.
