IMPHAL, June 22: The All Manipur Night Super Drivers Welfare Association (AMNSDWA) organised a press meet on Sunday demanding the safe release of night super driver Thokchom Ingobi, who was abducted by suspected militants from Assam.

The press meet was held after the association’s agitation by staying off the road didn’t bear fruit till date. It has appealed the Nagaland state travel (NST) and winger drivers to join the agitation.

AMNSDWA secretary Laishram Irabot said that NST and wingers should stay off the road from June 23 until Th Ingobi is safely release and if any of the travels don’t agree with the decision then the individual driver must be held responsible if any mishaps happen during their journey.

He further said that AMNSDWA will be organising a meeting at the North AOC office at 2 PM and humbly request the booking counters and vehicle owners to come and join the meeting failing which they will take action against them.
