IMPHAL, June 10: The Federation of Regional Indigenous Societies has lent a helping hand towards a labourer identified as Md Moni Babu Lasker from Sonai Cachar who was robbed off his money and mobile phone.
The labourer was given food and money for bus ticket to Jiri. The FREINDS also gave gratitude towards the bus counter ‘Green Valley’ for their help.
Also, FREINDS has stated that a combined team of Imphal east Food Security Officer-Y Seityajit and Churachandpur Food Safety Officer-TH Sunilkumar had seized Rs.60 lakhs worth of adulterated mustard oil from a non-Manipuri trader’s godown at Mantripukhri and stated that the act carried out by the team is a big step for the people of the state.
The FREINDS will support the Food Safety Department in their drive towards the checking of adulterated food, said the secretary publicity in a press release.
