IMPHAL, June 1: The mortal remains of the 47 year old man who was killed in a road mishap last night near Yumnam Leikai Leirembi Mapal has been claimed by family members after the conduct of post-mortem at Regional Institute of Medical Sciences today.
The deceased has been identified as Mutum Shyamkeshor, 57, son of Dhanajoy of Heirangoithong Mutum Leikai.
He was knocked down by a speeding Beat car bearing registration number MN05-A-4431 and died on the spot around 8.30 pm.
Police have seized the car involved in the accident and registered a case.
