KSO seeks people’s help to maintain peace in state

IMPHAL, June 6: The Kuki Students’ Organisation (KSO), Chandel district urged the people of Manipur to support the students’ body in maintaining peace and harmony in the state particularly in Chandel District.

Briefing media persons in a press meet at the Manipur Press Club, KSO president Doumang Haokip said that the students’ body was not against any organisations, adding that Kukis civil societies of Chandel unanimously adopted a resolution on June 4 at Munpi village Sugnu to maintain peace and harmony among different communities.

He, further, stated that the KSO Chandel would remain firm in its stand to bring peace and harmony in Chandel.

The students’ body will work in collaboration with other social organisations in order to safeguard the Rights of the Tribal especially within the Kuki inhabited areas, he said, appealing both central and state government to stop using the divide and rule policy between the Kukis in the state particularly in Chandel.
