Lecture opn career guidance conducted

IMPHAL, June 1: The Mayai Lambi Integrated Development Organisation, Shamurou Bazar in a press release conveyed that a special lecture on “Students’ Career Guidance” was organized on Sunday at Hiyangthang as a part of the “Second Chance Camp for Adolescents” which was implemented by Organisation under the sponsorship of the Ministry of Youth Affairs & Sports, Govt. of India.

Prof Ch Ibohal Meetei, Department of Manipur Institute of Management Studies, Manipur University has delivered on Career Guidance.

During the program, fifty adolescents from the two districts of Imphal East and West participated during the camp. Such special programmes are being conducted on week days by guest lecturers from different fields for giving awareness and boost up their inert potentiality, it further conveyed.

Series of lectures on different topics were given by Kh Tomba Singh, District co-operative Officer, Bishnupur on “Self Employment and Youths” on May 25, “HIV & AIDS and Youths” by Dr N Santakumar on May 18 and “Yoga & Naturopathic Practice for Good Health” by Dr K Basanta Singh, eminent Naturopathy on May 11 2014, it added.

The camp has been going on with school curricular subjects on daily routine basis by five teachers appointed by the organization to streamline the selected fifty school drop-out youths as per guidelines of the Ministry. The Camp will continue up to September 4, 2014.
