IMPHAL, June 10: Altogether 9 Meira Paibi Lups of Toubul area of Bishnupur district took out a protest rally today around 9 pm in protest against the local pradhans and members.
The rally started from Ngangoi Ningthou community hall and concluded at the same venue after covering most of the Toubul area.
The rally was participated by the Toubul Bazaar Meira Paibi Lup, Micro Bazaar Meira Paibi Lup, Mini bazaar Meira Paibi Lup, Phuramakhong Meira Paibi Lup, Ayang Leima Meira Paibi Lup, Chingongleimakhong Meira Paibi Lup, Sanasam Leikai Meira Paibi Lup, Maning Leikai Tomalmakhong Meira Paibi Lup and Toubul Kabuikhul Meira Paibi Lup.
A protestor, alleged that the Toubul Gram Panchayat Pradhan, Wahengbam Bormani alias Borpati Devi and her ward members have totally neglected the plight of the area.
The protestors were demanding the resignation of the local body representatives if they will remain incompetent.
