IMPHAL, June 10: Imphal west district Police conducted a cordon and search operation at the Governor Road under City Police Station and detained 16 persons this morning.
The detained 16 were handed over to the City Police for verification.
The operation was conducted under the supervision of K Meghachandra Imphal West additional SP (Operation) and led by officer in charge Sanjoy along with officer in charge City Police Station Sudhir.
The operation was conducted from Diamond Gali upto Indra Colour Lab.
All residents and others were called out from their respective houses and shops and verified along the Governor Road.
All the detained persons were later released from the city Police Station after proper verification.
