IMPHAL, June 13: The Bishnupur district police commandos on June 10 conducted search operation at Toubul village and during the operation, a cadre of KCP (MTF) identified as Sanabam Samananda Meitei alies Ibung, 23, son of S Tarpon Meitei of Kabo Wakching Mayai Leikai was arrested.
This was conveyed in a press release issued by PRO police and added that the arrested KCP cadre was involved in serving demand letters of the underground outfit to the contractors and government employees of the Bishnupur area.
Furthermore, the same police commandos conducted another search operation on June 11 at Nambol area and arrested one KCP (MTF) cadre identified as Brahmachariyum Herojit Sharma, 27, son of B Bhagirath Sharma of Nambol Sabal Mamang Leikai, it said in the same release and further continued he was involved in extortion of money from the general public and shopkeepers of Nambol area for raising funds of the underground outfit, it said.
