LAMKA, June 5: The joint headquarters of the Siamsinpawlpi (SSPP), the Paite Student Association, at Lamka, president Khual and his cabinet, today, called a press meet to highlight the functioning and challenges of their block.
He said his cabinet was still in the infant stage and had started to work like the coaching class for students who will appear their class X exam prior to this year’s Board conducted exam.
He said of the 173 student enrolled in the coaching class, 82 percent cleared their exams.
“So saying this we want to work more on the theme of the SSPP which is learn, labor and serve.”
Since the organisation is without any fund, there will be a fund drive, which basically will be like the barter system, he said before appealing to all to see their plight and help the organisation.
Other members of the student body said the have nothing at present except a century old bench and two chairs of the same vintage, and had to be crammed into a small room to take on the work of the largest joint HQ of the student body.
“We want to bring many changes but need help to make it possible,” he said.
