IMPHAL, June 16: The Thoubal District Weavers Cooperative Society and Luxmi Weavers Cooperative Society has stated on Monday that the allegations made by seven weavers society against newly promoted DIC, Thoubal Ch Tombi Devi were baseless .
Speaking to media persons at a press conference convened by the Thoubal District Weavers Cooperative Society at Manipur Press club, Luxmi Weavers Cooperative Society president M Biherjit said that out of 2000 weaver societies in Thoubal seven weaver societies blamed that the newly promoted DIC didn’t work properly and was not sincere in her job and had closed her office.
He appealed the concern authorities to take action against the seven weavers’ societies and reopen the closed office at the earliest as the last date of submission of forms of various schemes will be over by June 20.
