IMPHAL, July 2: The United Committee Manipur (UCM) distributed sweets to 28 cancer patients on Wednesday at the Radiotherapy Ward of the Regional Institute of Medical Science on the eve of its 14th foundation day today.
Speaking to the media, UCM president Y Nabachandra said UCM will continue to distribute sweets to orphanages, old age homes and others with difficulties, adding that the civil body will also distribute rice, edible oil and other essential commodities.
The UCM team led by its president visited Kanglatombi Children Home, Keibi Children Home, Mongsangei Old Age Home and the victims who lost their homes in the tragic incident at Major Khul on June 27 to distribute the aforementioned items.
