IMPHAL, July 9: The Ebudhou Pakhangba Liklam Kanba Lup (EPAKLIKAL), Naoremthong Takyel Khongbal will start publishing its journal ‘Yumballon’ in Bengali and Meitei Mayek from February next year in multicolour.

A press release from EPAKLIKAL stated that writers from the various indigenous ethnic communities can contribute to the journal, adding that their entries shouldn’t be more than 1700 words.

It further stated that the contributors can also submit photographs related with their stories.

The Lup has asked the contributors to submit two passport size photographs and bio-data either to the email id, epalikal@gmail.com or at its office before 10 am at Naoremthong Takyel Khongban Upakthong Leirak on or before September 26. It has urged the contributors to submit a neat copy of their write-ups in Bengali and Meitei Mayek for publishing their stories conveniently.

Yumballon is being published with the intention of addressing the declining commitment to the institution of marriage by couples and to instruct young people about the way they should conduct themselves and dress before and after marriage, added the press release.
