UKHRUL, July 12: Popular Tangkhul singers and artists today enthralled a crowd of Ukhrulites on second and concluding day of the two-day live concert here at Ukhrul Town Hall.
The two-day live concert was organized under the theme “Elevating life through melodies” by the Tangkhul Singers Association (TSA).
The concluding day was graced by social activist Emmins J Philathing as chief guest. Addressing the crowd, she maintained that listening to music has healing effects on the soul.
Opining that Tangkhul artists though talented still lack various resources, especially on technical front, Philathinghing called upon the Ukhrulites to give cooperation to the new artist body so that they may also grow at par with those in other places.
The musical extravaganza drew hundreds of crowd as popular artists like Miss Sanyaola and Ashang Khapai belted out all time hits including “Ningli chingri kahai makhalei,” “July 3.” Other popular artists Weapon, Ngathingpam, Sochihan, Magi Shimrah also performed their own popular songs.
