JIRIBAM, June 30 (JNN): Jiribam units of four student bodies namely AMSU, MSF, DESAM and KSA have announced a total highway blockade along the National Highway 37 from July 5 midnight.
The announcement was in follow up to the student bodies earlier warning to launch the blockade in case the State government fails to turn into action its earlier assurance to increase the number of teachers in the sub division.
Earlier presidents of the four units namely Y. Sanjiv Singh, President, AMSU District Commitee, Jiribam, M. Nilkamal Singh, President, MSF, Special Branch, K. Babulu Singh, President, DESAM, Local Council and U. Rojen Singh, President, KSA that the four student bodies had announced the blockade.
During a press conference at the office of the Jiribam unit office of the AMSU, a leader said the government has remained unresponsive to the issue.
