IMPHAL, August 24: In a gruesome incident, a 41 year old man killed his younger brother using a machete late last night at Tendongyan Makha Leikai under Sekmai police station.
The victim has been identified as Irengbam Khamba, 34, son of I Juge Singh while the accused is identified as Irengbam Deban, 41.
Sources said that the incident occurred around 11.30 pm.
The brothers had a heated argument over properties leading to the unfortunate incident, informed sources.
The argument turned ugly when the elder brother attacked his younger brother using a machete killing him on the spot, said the same sources.
Police recovered the machete used in the crime and a case has been registered in this connection.
