IMPHAL, Sept 19: The Directorate of Information and Public Relations has stated that the Government of Manipur is ready to declare Inscribed Stones of Churachand Maharaj, Maharaj  Bheigyachandra, Bishnupur and outer earthen rampart of Bihu Loukon, Imphal West as important protected areas/monuments under Manipur Ancient and Historical Monuments and Archeological Sites and Remains Acts, 1976.

According to a release of DIPR, the Government has called for objection from interested persons till the second week of November pertaining to the matter. Details can be had from the Deputy Secretary, Art and Culture, Government of Manipur, it said.
