IMPHAL, September 11: The SDC office Basikhong and PHC under Irilbung police station, Imphal East district was partially damaged in an arson attack late last night. Reports said that the attack has reportedly damaged furniture, documents and medicines of the offices.
The locks to the doors were reportedly broken and the perpetrators used petrol in the attack, it said.
While the Police remained clueless on the motive behind the arson attack, two separate cases have been registered by the concerned police station.
The staffs of both the offices strongly condemned the attack terming as a mindless act and appealed against a repeat of such incidents in the future.
