IMPHAL, Sept 23: The Imphal Women police station has taken up the case of the suspicious death Serakhatun Bibi alias Maton, 55, wife of (L) Md Abdul Jalil of Hiyangthang Pallak, whose lifeless body was fished out on September 21 morning from Nambul riverbed at Irom Meijrao Leikai.
While, the case was transferred by the concerned Wangoi police station today the mortal remains was handed over to the family after post mortem examination.
Meanwhile, efforts are on full swing to arrest the prime accused Md Abdul Kadir alias Amuthoi of the same locality with whom the victim was last seen.
