Good will ceremony held at Indo-Myanmar border

IMPHAL, Sept 28: As a good will sign to foster ties between India and Myanmar, a soil compactor presentation ceremony was held today morning at the Land Custom office, near Gate No 1 at Moreh.

A soil compactor was handed by the Indian representatives to the Myanmar delegates during the ceremony.

From the Indian side, the ceremony was attended by DIG Rajiv Chibber and Brig Anadi Atreya of 26 Sector AR. The Myanmar side was represented by Brig Aung Thu Oo RCC, Commandant Kalay DC, U Zaw Sp Tamu, Lt Col Khin Maung Thaw and other officials.

The ceremony was organised by 9 AR under 26 Sector of Moreh.

Brig Aung Thu of Myanmar expressing happiness over the ceremony, added that such kind of gesture between the army of the two countries was also held in past, and this was not the first time.

The ceremony was also attended by leaders of Meetei Council Moreh, All Community Development Organisation Moreh, Tamil Sangam Moreh, Kha-Nongpok Apunba Nupi Lup Moreh, kuki Women & Human Right Moreh, KSO Moreh block and various government officials.
