IMPHAL, Sept 11: Dr Krishan Kant Paul, Governor of Meghalaya has been appointed to take additional charge of the Governor of Manipur and the Governor of Mizoram following the acceptance of Vinod Kumar Duggal’s resignation by the President of India.
Dr Krishan Kant Paul, will assume the office until regular arrangement for the office of the Governor of Manipur and Governor of Mizoram are made.
It may be recalled that VK Duggal, repotedly tendered his resignation letter to the President, and a state farewell had been given to him, however till today it remained unclear whether the President accepted his resignation.
It may be recalled, soon after the submission of his resignation, Duggal was given a warm farewell at the Raj Bhawan on August 29 during an official function presided by Manipur Chief Secretary, PC Lawmkunga.
