India-ASEAN meet on connectivity begins in Shillong

SHILLONG, Sept 29: A high level two-day roundtable on “Challenges and Opportunities for Northeast India” began in Shillong`s Picturesque Pine Wood Hotel today.

India is represented by Secretary (East), Ministry of External Affairs. All ASEAN countries are represented. Ambassadors of eight countries including Indonesia, Singapore and Laos participated are present, and the rest represented by high ranking officers.

Well known Manipur University academic, Prof. Amar Yumnam, is also taking part in the brain storming.
