LAMKA, September 9: A timber loaded Shaktiman truck met with a fatal accident killing two persons including the driver near Pherjawl village under Tipaimukh sub-division about 200 km from Lamka town this afternoon.
The truck bearing registration number MN 02 7024 met with the accident after it treaded on some loose soil, killing the driver and owner of the truck Hangmuanmung, 22 of Gouchinkhup Veng, Lamka and the wife of the timber owner Suangmoi wife of Lalditsang of Sherman Village.
Two other passengers including owner of timber Lalditsang were also seriously injured while three other passengers escape with minor injuries, sources added.
On getting information of the accident, the Zomi Youth Association, ZYA and the Thangkhal Youth Organisation rushed to the spot of the accident and brought back the dead bodies and those injured to Lamka.
