IMPHAL, Sept 8: One among the four persons who were stabbed at Mayang Imphal for trying to extort money from a businessman at gunpoint yesterday namely Kakyenpaibam Sanjit Singh, 36, son of late K Lalmani Singh of Sagolband Tera Leirak Akham Leikai has been referred to JNIMS security ward from RIMS.
He was stabbed during the mob attack.
Another accused namely Khomdram Suren 36, son of Kh Tombi of Naoremthong Khullem Leikai had been produced before JMIC , Imphal West and remanded to five days police custody. The duo was caught with four license weapons, another two accused are still absconding.
A public meeting was held at Mayang Imphal today afternoon in the regard.
