IMPHAL, October 1: The Joint Students Coordination Committee (JSCC) has demanded from Manipur University authorities to clarify within October 4 on which ground the Central Educational Institution Reservation (in admission) Amendment Act, 2012 was implemented in the University.
This was stated at a press conference at the Manipur University Student Revival Committee office today by JSCC convenor Th Premanda.
Due to the implementation of the act, many controversies have occurred in Manipur University while getting admission and the admission process has been delayed, he said.
MU authorities have failed to provide appropriate answers on which ground the act has been implemented, the JSCC convenor adds.
He stated that if the concerned authorities fail to clarify on or before the dateline, the JSCC along with other organizations will start various agitations in which the administrative block might also be shut down and a general strike could be imposed.
