IMPHAL, October 28: A team of 25 Assam Rifles reportedly arrested one NSCN-IM cadre along with arms and ammunitions from Tumnoupokpi area under Kangpokpi police station Senapati district, around 7pm yesterday.
Sources identified the arrested individual as Meha, 45, son of (L) M Ningthing of Hundung village under Ukhrul police station.
The team also reportedly recovered one AK 47 rifle along with three magazine and 16 live ammunitions, one M-3 Mach II rifle with magazine, 58 live ammunitions of M-16 rifle, 120 live rounds of 7.62mm, one bolero jeep, two mobile network sim cards and Rs 310 in cash. He has been handed over to Lamphel police station along with the seized items.
