IMPHAL, Oct 2: The National Students`™ Union of India has said that a `One day Tree Plantation Drive`™ was organised along the roadsides of Langthabal playground and its surrounding areas on October 2 in connection with the 145th birth anniversary of Mahatma Gandhi.
According to a release of the union, the drive was held with aims to make the environment free from pollution, to set an example for the citizens, to educate the people on the benefit of tree plantation to the society and with a vision to save the future generation from pollution.
