IMPHAL, Nov 25: The All Manipur Working Journalists Union (AMWJU) said that a sit in protest was held by the Union condemning the threats and harassments to journalists by protestors during the coverage of the mass rally against the construction of Sports University at Yaithibi Loukol, Thoubal.
A release of the Union appealed to the people not to harass journalists and to contact the Union for any complains instead.
The Union also appealed to the journalists to contact the Union in case of emergency and to be cautious and alert while on duty. It further appealed to the locals of Yaithibi Loukol not to harass journalists in the future, it said.
