IMPHAL, Nov 24: The Editors Guild, Manipur has strongly condemned the manner in which some agitators protesting acquisition of land for Sport University in Yaithibi Loukol verbally abused some media person and threatened them when they went to cover the protest site on November 24.
According to a release of the EGM, it would like to appeal to one and all not to threaten newsperson on duty for any reason they may deem fit. It has also been appealed to contact the Editors`™ Guild Manipur through any Editor or newsperson or a media house for any issues for coverage or any events. The EGM also request to all media personnel to exercise caution while covering sensitive or volatile situation, it said.
