Sadar Hills Auto Owner`s Association reaches out to orphans

KANGPOKPI, November 22: In connection with the 3rd Sadar Hills Auto Owner`™s Association Rising Day cum Christmas Carol, the association reached out to some orphanage home within Sadar Hills today.

The association bestowed Living Foundation Orphanage, Kangpokpi; Love All Gospel Service (LOAGOS) Future Academy, Sipijang Saitu-Gamphazol and Kanglatongbi Orphanage Children Home with a bag of rice and sweets each.

The Auto owners`™ association also organized a Christmas carol along the national highway from Kangpokpi to Kanglatongbi via Taphou Kuki and later held a picnic party at Koubru Leikha river bank where a simple function was also conducted in two sessions.

condolence was also held in remembrance and tribute to the departed soul of Late Seikhosat Hangshing, member of the association who had expired on August this year while prizes were also distributed to the office bearers of the association.

Speaking on the sideline of the event Seibem Kipgen, president of the Sadar Hills Auto Owner`™s Association said that on every occasion of the association rising day we used to visit those orphanage home within Sadar Hills and help them in our capacity so as to ensure that they are not forgotten in the society and to strengthen their fortitude of livelihood.

We also organized a Christmas carol to give message to the people that Christmas is knocking at the door and be prepared for the grand celebration while a picnic party has also been organized for recreational activities and entertainment just to forget and forgive the past mistake, hardships among the drivers and strengthen the bond between members of the association and the general public continued the Association leader.

He continued that there are currently 125 members in the association within Sadar Hills who have been serving the general public day in and day out and even during odd time before adding that there are different kinds of hardship faced by the meager earner driver from various sections.

He appealed to the general public and various organizations to render cooperation and help to the drivers anytime and wherever they are in need of support rather than giving multiple burdens unnecessarily.

Thangsei Haokip, Member of Kangpokpi Town Committee who is also in-charge of the Auto lamented that cooperation and regard to one another and particularly to our leader is the best policy to succeed in gaining love, respect and dignity While J. Guite, Vice Chairman of Kangpokpi Committee emphasized the necessity and importance of service with discipline.

In the meantime, authority of those orphanage home visited by the association expressed their hearty congratulation to the association for the philanthropic deeds.

Kangpokpi Town Committee, Gamphazol Auto Taxi Association and various leaders of CSO within Sadar Hills participated in the event.

A complete entertainment viz. song competition, dance, etc and a grand feast marked the second session of the occasion.
