IMPHAL, Nov 13: A 35 year old man, identified as Khumanthem Rajenkumar Singh, son of Kh Iboton of Heirok Part II was killed in a road accident. The accident took place at around 10:30 am today along the stretch of Yairipok Thoubal road, under Yairipok Police Station.
Sources said Rajenkumar who came riding on a Bajar Pulsar bearing registration number MN-01/N-9815 motorcycle had a head-on collision with a Tata Dipper, with registration number MN-06/B-0801.
A case has been registered in this regard with the Yairipok police. The deceased has been handed over to his family after post mortem analysis at JNIMS Imphal.
In a separate accident, a truck driver identified as Sonaram Deka, 40, son of late Sukuram Deka of Jirighat Jiribam, died this morning at around 8:45 at RIMS hospital, following an accident yesterday at Awangkhul, under None Police Station.
The accident happened yesterday at around 11:30 pm when a truck on reverse gear ran over him. Sources said Sonaram was an employee of M/S Triveni Company Pvt Ltd, currently engaged in railway works.
