IMPHAL, Nov 27: A Village Defense Force personnel, identified as Chandam Isworjit, 28, son of Ch Indrakumar of Sanjenbam Mayai Leikai under Imphal West District shot him himself with his service rifle this evening.
According to sources the incident occurred this evening at around 9:30. The said VDF personnel is currently posted at the Lamshang Police Station. He has been admitted at the RIMS and is reported to be in critical condition.
