LAMKA, December 24: The ADCC chairman, Langkhanpau Guite and Lunminthang Haokip, DC of Churachandpur have extended their Christmas greetings to the people of the district in particular and the State in general.
The chairman of ADCC on the eve of the celebration said that one should pray for the well-being of the under privileged, especially for those who have lost their loves one. The DC in his message said that Christmas must be celebrated in a good spirit and also appealed to the public to refrain from evil practices.
Meanwhile, as per the report of IFP on the speed breakers in the town, both chairman and the DC have assured that they will look into the matter. They maintained that action will be taken up in the interest of the people of the town.
It may be recalled that various government departments like the Transport and PWD and even the Police have been passing the buck to one another over the issue of illegal speed breakers that have become nuisance on the roads.
