IMPHAL, Dec 17: The identity of the non-local man whose dead body was deposited at the RIMS morgue after he succumbed to injuries at the RIMS hospital on December 12 has been confirmed. The City Police admitted the severely injured man at the hospital after coming across him at around 7.10 am on December 12 at Allu Galli in Thangal Bazar.
He has been identified as Ramesh Rai of Motihari District in Bihar who earned his living as a labourer in Imphal. His relatives identified his dead body at the RIMS morgue today. After post mortem analysis, his dead body was handed over to his relatives by the police for performing his last rites.
