IMPHAL, December 22: The Joint Committee on Inner Line Permit System has strongly condemned the recent bomb blasts in the heart of Imphal city which has caused casualties as well as injuries to local and non locals residing in the state.

A release of the committee appealed to those responsible for the blasts not to continue such violent acts in the future so as not to hinder in the movements taken up by JCILPS regarding the implementation of ILP in the state for the non locals, it said.

The committee has further said that it is necessary to set regulations for non-locals who are constantly coming to the state so that both the people of the state and the non-locals can live in peace. The state government must look into the incidents and try to find clues as soon as possible and to punish those responsible for the blasts, it said.

The committee once again appealed to those organisations responsible not to carry out such threats in the future and especially during the process of issuing Bill regarding the issue of the JCILPS in the state, it said.
