IMPHAL, December 26: A 33-years-old married woman succumbed at the hospital where she was rushed to after she consumed poison yesterday.
The woman is identified as Laophrakpam (o) Sobita Devi, 33, wife of L Suresh Singh of Langthabal Phura Makhong.
Sources said she was found lying after consuming the poison yesterday around 5:30 pm and was rushed to the Regional Institute of Medical Sciences. She was shifted to the Shija Hospital and Research Institute after her condition deteriorated, however, she died around 10:30 pm.
The police have registered a case in this regard and the body has been handed over to family members after post mortem examination was conducted at the RIMS morgue.
