One man found holding two govt jobs

IMPHAL, Dec 1: At a time government jobs are scarce and much sought after, a person by the name of Khwairakpam Herachandra Singh, son of Khwairakpam Ibohal Singh, of Bishenpur, and an employee of the education department, has been found to be listed as an employee of two different government institutions in two different Northeastern states.

Herachandra is listed as a regular graduate teacher posted at Tuning Junior High School since November 2007. He was then transferred to Tokpa Kabui Junior High School on September 27 this year by an order of the Director of Education (S) dated September 22.

The same person however is also listed as an assistant professor Mathematics, at the NERIST as on June 2014.

He also advertised in local dailies in Imphal as having received a Ph.D in Mathematics from the NEHU in February, 2014.

Questions have been raised how he completed all these feats in a short span of time, especially when fake degrees scandals are common and whether he had forgotten to resign from either of his two government jobs before taking up the other.
