IMPHAL, December 17: Demonstrating against the disappearance of two lads of Yairipok Huidrom allegedly after a resident of the same locality took them away on the pretext of providing jobs, students of RSD Regional Academy today staged a sit in protest at the local community hall.
Laishram Lukhoi alias Basanta, 21, son of L Kulabi Singh and Huidrom Pratap, 13, son of H Akajao Singh have both remained missing since December 2 after reportedly accompanying Laishram Ojit, 30, son of Shyamjai of the locality who is presently in police custody.
Ojit and another accused Laishram Achou, 57 were earlier arrested by the Yairipok Police for their alleged involvement in the alleged trafficking of the two young lads outside the State.
Fellow students of Pratap who was a class IX student of the RSD Regional Academy, accompanied by staff of the school attended in the sit in protest demanding all concern to release the young boy.
Meanwhile, the JAC formed in connection with the formed in connection with the missing of the two lads also continued to stage similar sit in protest at Yairipok Bazar and Wangkhem Bazar waiting shed as part of its agitation.
