SuiGeneris wins innovative entrepreneurship award

IMPHAL, December 19: The SuiGeneris Inc has won the most innovative Small and Medium Enterprise (SME) of The Telegraphy INFOCOM SME awards 2014 held at Kolkata on December 6. This was stated by the chairman cum managing director, Ragesh Keisham at a press briefing held today at SuiGeneris house, Kwakeithel Lamdong Leikai.

Ragesh Keisham stated `Entrepreneurs are the one who can bring changes and the need of hour is to develop and promote entrepreneurship. We should set up industries in the State by using our own available resources without depending on other`™s resources to improve our economy`.

However entrepreneurs are very few in the State and the government is doing nothing, he lamented. He also pointed out that the people of the State must take maximum advantage of the Look East Policy, and there is need to prepare to grab the opportunities this policy brings.

He further said the SuiGeneris is the pioneer in the field of green revolution and is a privately owned sustainable development enterprise based in Imphal launched in 2007.

The firm currently owns and manages a large plantation of Cymbopogon citrates plantation in various areas of Manipur and is known for its brand as CC Tea, he added.

He said the firm is empowering 2000 underprivileged women at present

The mission of the SuiGeneris is to combat the present problem of global warming, to reduce unemployed population in the State, to safeguard the interest of the farmers and help in building the economy of the State, he maintained.

He also added that SuiGeneris is exporting its products to different countries and has already made contract with 31 countries of Europe.
