IMPHAL, Jan 15: A body of a female believed to be in her mid 40 was recovered from Paheikong River bank in between Hunpung and Simtang 15 km south west from Ukhrul police station, yesterday.
Reports said that the body was reportedly detected by the local of the area around 3.30 who later informed the police. The deceased is said to be a non-local.
No external injury was found from the body and police have registered a UD case in this regards.
The body was retrieved by the police and deposited at JNIMS morgue today.
