IMPHAL, Jan 11: A team of district police commandos, Imphal East arrested two vehicle lifters, during mobile frisking and checking exercise from Keirao Wangkhem near TB Hospital on January 9, said a police release.
Police identified the two as Md Harun Khan, 24, son of Md Abdulah of Yairipok Laimanai and Md Mufijuddin Khan, 25, son of (L) Md Maniruddin Khan of Sangaiyumpham Mairenkhul.
One Honda Activa, purple color, without registration number was seized from their possession. Investigation reveals that the Honda Activa was stolen from Sugnu area by one their associate and they were coming to sell it at Yairipok area, police said.
A case has been registered at Irilbung Police Station and investigation is going on, it added.
