IMPHAL, February 24: An Improvised Explosive Device (IED) was reportedly recovered today along Imphal-Ukhrul road this morning around 7 under Heingang PS in Imphal East district.
Reports said that the IED was planted about 1.5 km south west from the COB of the 45 AR Chingarel.
The presence of the IED was reportedly informed to the Cingarel AR post by local.
The bomb was later dispose by a bomb disposal unit of the 107 engineer regiment around 9.15 am.
In the process, the highway was shut down for several hours.
