IMPHAL, Feb 22: The banned Maoist Communist Party Manipur has claimed responsibility for the attempted arson at Central Institute of Science in Keishamthong Hodam Leirak yesterday.
A statement of MCP Manipur has accused the institute of enrolling many students while never giving them a chance to sit in examinations. It also alleged that the Central Institute of Science is misguiding the students. It said that the yesterday`™s mission was carried out by its Red Guards.
The underground Maoist Community Party Manipur has imposed a ban on MM Higher Secondary School, Little Rose Higher Secondary Canchipur, Institute of Arts and Science Kwakeithel, Ram Krishna Higher Secondary School, Akash Institute of Science and Arts.
The outfit in its statement charged that these above mentioned schools runs only for profit making and for which it will be banned forever. The authorities of these schools have also been asked to return fees to about 2,000 students within five days. Failing which they will get severe punishment, it added.
