IMPHAL, March 30: A Special Court of NIA has issued arrest warrant against a witness in connection with the trial of UNLF`™s supremo RK Meghen alias Sanayaima and his associates.
The NIA had framed a charge sheet under Case No 1 of 2010 u/s 121/121-A/120-B Indian Penal Code, 16-A, 18/20 Unlawful Activities (Prevention) Act against UNLF`™s supremo RK Meghen alias Sanayaima and his associates.
The trail of the case has been going at a Special Court of NIA at Guwahati.
Kishan Lal of Delhi, who is said to be the witness when NIA seized some items from RK Meghen and his associates, never appeared before the court despite repeated summons. The court today issued a non-bailable warrant against him.
Meanwhile, as a part of prosecution witness deposition in the Court, Additional Superintendent of Police, NIA, Ravi Gambhir`™s statement was recorded today.
He was the investigating officer of NIA when the accused persons were arrested.
RK Meghen and his associates were also produced before the court today.
