IMPHAL, March 22: Ever since the deadly Swine Flu was detected in Manipur on March 5, till date there had been four confirmed positively afflicted.
According to information available with the Directorate of Health Services, Manipur, there have been altogether 12 patients admitted in various hospitals with suspected infection by the flu.
However, of the 12, only four carried the H1N1 virus that causes this deadly flu. Of the remaining eight, five swab samples have turn out negative of the virus and were discharged from the hospitals, while three more test results are still awaited.
It may be recalled, of the four confirmed with the flu, two women could not be saved, while the other two have been treated successfully and discharged.
