IMPHAL, Mar 2: A combined team of Commandos of District Police, Thoubal and 2 Assam Rifles arrested one s/s sgt of PREPAK (PRO) organization during frisking and checking at Heirok crossing on March 1, a police release said.
The arrested person has been identified as Sagolsem Sanatomba Meitei alias Khaba Meitei, 24, son of S Shohdeva Meitei of Langathel Moirang Leikai.
A case has been registered at Thoubal Police Station and investigation is going on, it said.
It further said, the combined team also arrested a cadre of RPF outfit during search operation at Leishangthem area today.
The arrested person has been identified as Md Nasir Khan alias Md Nasir Hussein, 32, son of MV Shaheruddin Khan of Thoubal Moijing Wangmataba Mayai Leikai.
Investigation revealed that, he along with his associate had served demand letters to the general public of Lilong area. One demand letter of RPF was also seized from his possession, it said.
A case has been registered at Thoubal Police Station and investigation is going on, it added.
