IMPHAL, Mar 2: Three persons were killed in a road accident last night at Ngangkhalawai (near electricity office) under Moirang PS in Bishnupur District.
The deceased persons have been identified as Thokchom Romi Singh, 32, son Th Kumar Singh and Wahengbam Premjit Singh, 26, son of W Dhojo Singh, both of Bishnupur Ward No 5, and Laishram Priyokumar Singh, 37, son of (L) L Pishak Singh of Bishnupur Ward No 7.
The incident happened at around 8 pm. The three were coming from Moirang towards Bishnupur riding on an NV scooter bearing registration number MNE 3035.
Their scooter collided with an unregistered Jeep.
Police have registered a case in regard to the incident and the lifeless bodies of the three have been handed over to their families after a post mortem examination at RIMS morgue.
