BJP Mahila Morcha conducts Clean India campaign at Imphal City surroundings

IMPHAL, April 12: As a part of `Clean India Mission` of Prime Minister Schemes under the directive of Vijya Rahatkar National President BJP Mahila Morcha, the BJP State Mahila Morcha tied up with SAI, CRED, IMC and various civil societies of Keirao Bitra to clean-up Imphal city surroundings this morning.

The Clean India Mission campaign was conducted under Adhikarimayum Sarda Devi National Vice-President BJP Mahila Morcha along with various volunteers from 7 am till 10 am.

While talking with the media in the sidelines of the clean-up campaign, Sarda Devi said the target is to have a clean India free from garbage. The mission was launch under the guidance of Prime Minister Narendra Modi.

She further said that if inculcate the habit of cleaning up our surroundings, we can live in proper and sanitary places and with it healthy life. India can then become a health nation, she added.

We are targeting 500 participations in the cleanliness campaign but according to the registration record we have already cross 700 and expecting 1000 more in this campaign, Sarda said.

The campaign is conduct under a national programme under the president of National BJP Mahila Morcha and will continue for five years, she said.

She said that today the campaign covered Khuyathong crossing Babu Hotel up to the three Ima markets, on Uripok side till Cheirap court and in the temporary market set in eastern side.

BJP Manipur Pradesh member Itomba added that in today`™s campaign boys and girls of SAI with official totalling 450, from CRED 200, from IMC 100 and people from Keirao Bitra Luomi Lup women Social and Youth Development Centre Keirao Bitra together 500 participated as volunteers.

The CMO of Imphal West District, Professor Dr I Ibomcha RIMS, Dr Sanjib and Dr Chetan of Ortho and Dr Ajitkumar Surgeon also were present in the campaign, he added.
